The vast majority of kid costumes that one will find in the stores now are wildly expensive. Many of the girls' costumes are also midriff baring, short skirted, and just overall not appropriate for a child. These are cute, timeless ideas that cost little-to-nothing. I'm not so sure about Kiah's comment. That is kind of like going into a candy store and asking "why don't you sell bacon?" There are plenty of websites out there that sell costumes.
