Far be it from me to pass up on showing my phreaky fans something really scary. (Props if you get the reference.)

So when this morbidly hilarious vid came down my YouTube feed, I couldn’t resist posting it.

Straight from the monster mind of horror puppet creator Will McDaniel, the short features married man Will and his squelchy main squeeze, Burrow, who feel as if they’re “from different worlds.” (You sure?)

I’ll talk more about Will and his penchant for putrid puppets in a moment. But just in case you’re already on the edge of your seat, here’s the vid:

Now that you’re sufficiently traumatized, here’s what I found out about Will.

He’s British (Of Course)

I love me some British humor. When it’s not so ultra-dry that it’s slipping right over my head and into another dimension entirely, it’s going sideways into a Weirdville that even crazies like me didn’t know existed.

From what I’ve been able to find, Will was born August 2, 1988 in Somewhere, UK. Okay, “Somewhere” isn’t a real place, but the UK is, and anyway, Will doesn’t exactly seem to exist in a real place either, so that tracks. (Love you, Will!)

He Creates His Own Puppets

Will McDaniel is not only an amazing scriptwriter, he crafts his own creepy puppets. Their names include Spatula Lipstick Face, Tapeworm Terry, and as we see in the vid above, Burrow. (Is anyone really surprised?)

His First Vid Appeared in 2008

Will uploaded his first vid, “Pasta,” to YouTube on Feb. 19, 2008, the same day he created his channel. According to Mr. McDaniel, it addresses his innermost fears. It stars himself and “Andrew” — not a puppet, as there are no puppets in this vid, but still weird. Very weird.

He Has Nearly One and a Quarter Million Subscribers

As of the publication of this article, Will has 1.22 million subscribers to his YouTube channel. He also has a Patreon, so check that out.

I say: this creepy creator is brilliant. What do you think? Sound off in the comments below…and as always, stay spooky!
