Remember when we covered Juice’s game-changing take on kids’ Halloween tunes last year? Melvira thought kid/grownup crossover music couldn’t get any better.
Melvira was wrong, folks, very wrong. (Mark this page because such a ridiculous possiblity comes once, perhaps twice in her own eternity. If you got that reference, post below!)
Oh, she loved Frankenstein Fromp, Wolfman Rock, Zeena and 2025’s mid-season drops Dancin’ With Dracula and Transylvania Twist. All are VERY danceable, fresh and adult-listen-worthy. But Ghoulish Gitdown takes things to eleven.

In Melvira’s infrequently humble opinion, “Ghoulish Gitdown” is on the order of “Ghostbusters” (in listenability, style and quality), “Thriller” (fun and groove + dark undertones) and “Superstition” (as a crossover funk/holiday classic everyone loves for Halloween). This is NOT your rugrat’s Halloween music. Or…okay, it is. But it’s not just your rugrat’s Halloween music.
I couldn’t stop dancing…and yeah, it’s going on my Spotify playlist so I can listen to it in time for The Most Wonderful Day of the Year.
